About The Artist: Sharon Ann Burton
Sharon, a retired teacher of thirty years in the Saratoga Springs City School District, in upper New York State, is a self-taught artist. She now resides, with her husband Wayne, in the small artist community of Round Lake, NY. She was inspired to write and illustrate children’s books, as well as create murals and individual water based paintings. Through experimentation and observation, Sharon developed her own techniques using watercolors and liquid acrylics. Her subject matter is frequently glass, flowers, animals and landscapes, but she always enjoys the challenge of trying something new and different.
Sharon was inspired by all the species of flowers, birds and animals while living in the southwest and this has been reflected in her third, fourth and fifth children’s books: Desert Moms, Saving Is Wise and Let’s Volunteer. Her previously published children’s books are Grammy Loves Me and When I Grow Up. Unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus Pandemic the publishing company has since gone out of business and the books are no longer in print. Cards are also available that are representative of all posted art works.

All of her books have been available locally, in the southwest and online through Amazon and Barnes and Noble. She is presently working on the publication of her 6th children’s book, Save Our Animals.
